Patricia Blanton
Patricia (Tricia) Blanton began training at Dance LTD School of Dance in Abilene, Texas. Tricia graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory with a BFA in Dance and Choreography. There she studied under Ronald Tice, Tempe Ostergren, Karen Brown, Gary Abbott, Michael Blake, DeeAnna Heitt, Tobin James, Caroline Dahm, Christina Burton, Paula Weber and David Justin. Recently, Tricia has performed in Kansas City Dance Collective’s Summer Performance, “As a Matter of Hats” and is very excited about the year ahead dancing as a Trainee with KCDC this season. Tricia has also trained with American Ballet Theatre, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Wylliams Henry Contemporary Dance Company, Cosmopolitan Ballet Theatre, Ballet San Angelo, and the Brownwood Lyric Theater. A few of the works she’s performed on stage were choreographed by Michael Blake, Tobin James, Christina Burton, Liat Roth, Ronald Tice and Tempe Ostergren. As well as performed as a Guest Artist with Kansas City Contemporary Dance Company in their 2023 Fall Performance, “Forces of Nature'', and in 2021 performed in a Dance Film, “To The Light'' by UMKC Conservatory Alumni, Erica Lohman. In addition, Tricia has taught Jazz at Key City Dance Co. and various ages of Ballet and Contemporary Dance classes at its predecessor, Dance LTD School of Dance.
