KCDC's goal is to produce professional dance productions that provide our local community an opportunity to see quality visual art that is engaging, entertaining and inclusive. Attending a dance concert can feel daunting for many reasons. KCDC wants to have a reputation of producing shows where the audience will feel welcome. We don't believe enjoying dance is just for people who "know" dance. Any one can watch a performance.
Currently KCDC dancers spend time developing, choreographing and rehearsing all on a volunteer basis. They do this because they are passionate about their art and looking for an opportunity to bring it to the community. Kansas City Dance Collective is that avenue for them to share their talents with an audience. The impact of our collective is for both the public and the artists.
